For instructors and training programmes

Examination and instructor copies

If you teach this material, we will send you a copy of Proper Pigging to review — free, posted to you, with no obligation and nobody chasing you afterwards.

Tell us what you teach and roughly how many people go through your programme, and we will include an outline of how we can support it: whether that is bulk copies as the course text, one of our engineers teaching a module inside your class, or the full two-day certification delivered for your cohort.

The printed Proper Pigging field guide propped on a skid-mounted pig launcher and receiver barrel at a pipeline yard.
This is what arrives. A printed 172-page paperback, not a PDF — photographed on a launcher and receiver skid by the crews who wrote it.

Who this is for

Technical collegesTwo-year programmes, apprenticeships and continuing-education departments teaching pipeline work.
Union training centresJoint apprenticeship and journeyman upgrade programmes.
Contractors and EPCsIn-house schools bringing crews up to a common standard.
Industry associationsShort-course and conference programme organisers.
Independent instructorsAnyone teaching pressure testing, pigging or commissioning under their own shingle.

What we send

  1. The book. A printed copy of the 172-page field guide — 16 chapters in four parts, 8 appendices, 14 original figures, a glossary of 35 terms and 83 study questions. Not a PDF.
  2. A chapter-to-syllabus outline. Which chapters map to which teaching hours, so you can see at a glance where it fits what you already run.
  3. A specimen certificate. The certificate of completion we issue, showing course title, contact hours, date, objectives and instructor — the form most state boards want when an engineer submits professional development hours.
  4. Adoption and bulk pricing, if you want copies for a cohort rather than one desk copy.

How we can support your programme

Four ways, in rough order of how much of your time they take:

  • Adopt the book as your course text. You keep teaching; the book carries the reference material and the study questions. Bulk copies at a programme rate.
  • We teach a module inside your class. One of our engineers takes the pressure-testing sessions and hands the room back to you.
  • We deliver the whole course for your cohort. The four-hour briefing, the eight-hour engineering workshop, or the two-day field certification of ten contact hours, at your facility or ours.
  • Hands-on demonstration. Where the site allows we can bring a NitroTech N2 nitrogen trailer so the group sees how bulk nitrogen is actually rigged, metered and worked on a jobsite.
No obligationA review copy is a review copy. We will not add you to a mailing list, we will not pass your details to anyone, and if the book is not right for your programme that is a perfectly good outcome. Tell us and we will leave you alone.

Approximate is fine.
Leave blank for a single review copy.

Standing noteThis is educational reference material, not engineering advice. Regulations are revised continually; the editions in force at the time of a project govern, and every project requires its own qualified engineering analysis and the operator’s governing specifications.
